91st Annual Flower Show Opens Friday, March 23, 2012

Thomasville Garden Club, Inc. will host their 91st annual Standard Flower Show Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Thomasville Garden Center, 1102 South Broad Street, Thomasville. The theme for the show is "America the Beautiful".   Pre-opening festivities include a luncheon and fashion show Friday at 12:30pm.  Tickets are $15 and are available at the Visitors Center in downtown Thomasville, phone 229-228-7977 or toll free 1-866-577-3600.  The show opens at 1:30pm till 5:00pm on Friday.  There is a wine and cheese event on the patio Friday afternoon at 5:30pm.  Tickets are $15 and will be available in advance and at the door.  The show is open Saturday, March 24 from 10am-5:00pm.  Be sure to visit the Marketplace inside the show.  For more information or tickets, call the Visitors Center.

Camellia Show Opens Sat. Feb.11,2012

Thomasville Garden Club, Inc. will host their annual Camellia Show Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Thomasville Garden Center at 1102 South Broad Street in Thomasville..  The show opens at 1:30pm and closes at 5:00pm.  Admission is free, donations are requested.  Entries will be accepted Saturday morning beginning at 8am.  For more information, contact Mary Tomlinson at 229-226-6649. Renting the Garden Center

The Thomasville Garden Center is a wonderful setting for receptions, parties, and other special events.  The Garden Center has a large room that seats 120 at round tables, and can host 200+ for stand up events.  The brick terrace area with its fountain and rose arbor is a picturesque setting for outdoor entertaining.  The terrace can hold approximately 120 at round tables and can be lighted at night.  The Center has a formal living room, a library off the main room, a full kitchen, a piano, and a covered entrance to the kitchen for inclement weather.The rental fees include the use of 120 folding chairs, 12 5' round tables that can seat 8-10 and 8' banquet tables, toilet paper and soap and janitorial service after the event.  Fees are $700 per day with discounted second day of $350.   Discounts are also available for Garden Club Members. Rental fees must be paid in full one month prior to the event.

Flower Show Set for Friday, March 25 & Saturday, March 26, 2011

Thomasville Garden Club, Inc. will sponsor their 90th annual Standard Flower Show, Thomasville Celebrates Spring, Friday, March 25and Saturday, March 26, 2011.  The show will open Friday at 1:30pm.  A luncheon and fashion show (Tickets $15) is planned for Friday at noon and Thomas University's Jazz Ensemble will entertain guests at the luncheon and at the ribbon cutting, which is scheduled for 1:15pm.  The show will be open Friday until 5:00pm.  A Wine and Cheese is planned for Friday, March 25 from 5:30-7:00pm  with tickets $15.
